Teaching

Teaching is one of the largest professions. Teachers specialize to teach at different levels such as the pre-primary, primary, secondary, senior secondary and university levels. There are specialist teachers who teach subjects such as art, computers, physical education (Tondon, n.d.)"  Teachers can teach at different levels. Primary school teachers teach 3-5 years old. They work with children and teach all subjects. They meet with parents. Secondary school teachers specialise in one or two subjects. They prepare test papers, meet parents , organise co-curricular activities. Lecturers/college teachers hold PhD in subject. They research and prepare for lecture. They conduct seminars or tutorials. They mark assignments and publish research work

• Teaching as a profession demands you to be extremely careful of your personality, approach and knowledge
• The teacher must be approachable enough for students to share any difficulties that they might face in their journey of learning/li>
• Teachers must be sensitive to the problems/li>
• Communication Skills- a teacher must necessarily have excellent . communication skills for accurately conveying the knowledge to the students/li>
• Understanding Nature- this trait is mostly required for school level teachers/li>

Bachelor of Education is a must .Basic Training Certificate (BTC), Diploma in Education (D.Ed) and Teacher Training Certificate (TTC)
