About the Scheme

The scheme is to provide rehabilitation assistance to bonded labourers.

Benefits Under the Scheme

For adult bonded labour who do not come under the mentioned category of disabled persons, special needs of female freed bonded labourers categories, employable skill development training shall be a compulsory element of rehabilitation.

Eligibility Criteria

Adult male, boys below 18, adult females, girls below 18, special category such as children including orphans or those rescued from organised and forced begingrings ir ither firms if firced child labour and women or other cases such as cases of bonded or forced labour involving extreme cases of deprivation or marginailisation such as trans genders or women or children sescued from ostensible sexual exploitation or differnetly abled persons. person suffering from disability as person suffering from not less than 40% of any disability certified by medical authority.

Concerned Agency Institutions

a)The implementation and monitoring of the BLR scheme shall be carried out by the Central Monitoring Committee, prescribed under the NCLP scheme, but with JS/DG(LW) as member-convenor for the purpose of BLR Scheme. b) At the State level, the same implementation machinery for NCLP scheme shall also be responsible for implementation of the revised BLR Scheme. c)At the district and sub-divisional level the same implementation machinery for NCLP scheme shall also be responsible for implementation of the revised BLR Scheme assisted by the Vigilance Committees, as prescribed under the Act and Rules(Ministry of Labour and Employment, n.d.).
