How should I make it?
Integrated farming system

There are different components of integrated farming system

  • Farm ponds
  • Bio- pesticides and fertilizers
  • Vemicompost making
  • Rain water harvesting
  • Crops
  • Livestock
  • Birds
  • Trees
  • In integrated farming system, cropping may comprise a range of variations including at least two or more of the following - monocrop, mixed/intercrop, multi-tier crops of cereals, legumes (pulses), oilseeds, forage etc.
  • Livestock components may include milch cow, goat, sheep, poultry, bees
  • Tree components may include timber, fuel, fodder and fruit trees.
For different agri-ecosystems different components of integrated farming system are used i.e. for Dryland farming – dairy-poultry-goat/sheep-agroforestry-farmpond is the best combination whereas for wetland farming –dairy-poultry- mushroom-apiary-fishry-duckery is the best combination.
